Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RuneScrap (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

RuneScrap is a free, community-built hobby project operated under the name "RuneScrap." These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and RuneScrap regarding your use of the Service.

2. Description of Service

RuneScrap is a platform for Old School RuneScape players to automatically track in-game progress, achievements, drops, and other events. The Service integrates with the Dink RuneLite plugin to receive game data on your behalf and displays it via a web interface. Optional features include Discord webhook notifications and clan-based activity feeds.

3. User Accounts & Registration

To use RuneScrap, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others.
• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to consent to data processing).
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent, or use automated tools to create accounts in bulk.

4. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems as described in our Privacy Policy.

RuneScrap reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have:

• Violated these Terms or our Privacy Policy.
• Engaged in abusive, fraudulent, or illegal conduct.
• Attempted to circumvent security measures or rate limits.
• Sent malformed, spoofed, or malicious data to the Service.

5. Data Collection & Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

You retain ownership of any in-game data you contribute to the Service. You grant RuneScrap a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6. Third-Party Services

RuneScrap relies on third-party infrastructure to operate. Details of the services used and how they process your data are listed in our Privacy Policy. RuneScrap is not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of these third-party services.

7. RuneLite Plugin & Dink Webhook Usage

RuneScrap receives game event data via the Dink RuneLite plugin. You are responsible for configuring the plugin correctly and for the data it sends to RuneScrap.

You agree not to:

• Send data to RuneScrap that does not originate from your own OSRS account.
• Spoof, forge, or manipulate webhook payloads.
• Use the webhook endpoint to send data at volumes that would constitute abuse of the Service.

RuneScrap is not affiliated with Jagex Ltd., RuneLite, or the Dink plugin authors. "Old School RuneScape" and "OSRS" are registered trademarks of Jagex Limited. Use of RuneScrap does not imply endorsement by Jagex or any affiliated entity.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm other users.
• Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without express written permission.

9. Intellectual Property

All software, design, and branding associated with RuneScrap — excluding in-game assets owned by Jagex — are the property of RuneScrap and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.

Item icons, quest data, and other in-game assets are the property of Jagex Limited and are used in accordance with Jagex's fan content and intellectual property policies. This site is in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Jagex Limited.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. RuneScrap does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

As a free, community-built hobby project, RuneScrap makes no guarantees regarding uptime, data retention, or continued availability of any feature.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RuneScrap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruption.

12. Refund Policy

RuneScrap offers a free tier as well as an optional paid subscription that unlocks increased limits and additional features. All payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, who handles billing, invoicing, tax compliance, and refunds on our behalf.

All refunds are handled entirely by Paddle in accordance with their Consumer Terms. RuneScrap is not involved in the refund process.

13. Changes to These Terms

RuneScrap may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
